Mistakes

Why is it so easy to make a mistake? To do something so fast and instantly regret it the second after? It takes time to think about the right thing to do, careful decision making and deductive reasoning. However, it takes one quick lap of judgement and the wrong feeling at the right time to do something you instantly regret. If these are lessons learned in life I'm hoping I make less of them. Then again, I'm only 17 so I guess I have my whole life ahead of me to make all the mistakes in the world......great! So what do you do after? When that sick feeling of regret comes? Who knows!! Suck it up?Cry? Apologize? Either way the mistake is done, and you cant go back in the past to change it. Life is about excepting your mistakes, and I have a lot more to look forward to.

Have Lemons- Make Lemonade

Being mature might be the hardest thing at times. Well for me it is. When your having a bad day and everything seems to be going wrong, all I want to do is have a pity party for myself. Is that the mature thing to do? No probably not. The mature thing to do would be to turn your day around, analyze whats wrong, and do something about it. Why is that so hard though? I think we all tend to focus on the bad things in life because there the easiest to dwell on. I could complain all day about the things I want to change in my life but only talk 10 minutes about the good things that are happening for me. So, lets focus on the good, and forget the bad. The past is the past, and the future has so much to offer. My biggest summer goal is to make the best out of every situation I'm put in and have fun!
