Why is it so easy to make a mistake? To do something so fast and instantly regret it the second after? It takes time to think about the right thing to do, careful decision making and deductive reasoning. However, it takes one quick lap of judgement and the wrong feeling at the right time to do something you instantly regret. If these are lessons learned in life I'm hoping I make less of them. Then again, I'm only 17 so I guess I have my whole life ahead of me to make all the mistakes in the world......great! So what do you do after? When that sick feeling of regret comes? Who knows!! Suck it up?Cry? Apologize? Either way the mistake is done, and you cant go back in the past to change it. Life is about excepting your mistakes, and I have a lot more to look forward to.

Being mature might be the hardest thing at times. Well for me it is. When your having a bad day and everything seems to be going wrong, all I want to do is have a pity party for myself. Is that the mature thing to do? No probably not. The mature thing to do would be to turn your day around, analyze whats wrong, and do something about it. Why is that so hard though? I think we all tend to focus on the bad things in life because there the easiest to dwell on. I could complain all day about the things I want to change in my life but only talk 10 minutes about the good things that are happening for me. So, lets focus on the good, and forget the bad. The past is the past, and the future has so much to offer. My biggest summer goal is to make the best out of every situation I'm put in and have fun!

What has happened to boys these days? Us girls dreamed about our prince charming, being tall, dark, and handsome. A man with manors and a good heart to sweep us off our feet. Now, it seems like "prince charming" is more obsessed with being tall, dark, and handsome, completely forgetting about the manors and good heart part of the package. Being "dark" is new obsession and is going to be a leading cause for skin cancer. When did it become okay for guys to go tanning? It's a little to girly for me. Just because Jersey Shore made this a new obsession for most guys, doesn't make it okay. Is anything they really do on that show okay?( don't get me wrong still a fan for trash TV, but come on!). Half of the guys I know are more obsessed with looking good then I am, and I'm a female. Who cares how many Nike shoes you have, what brand your jacket is, and who stole your outfit. I'm allowed to worry about that not boys. It seems like most guys are turning into douche-bag, v-neck wearing, players! Do we really need more of those? Personally I'm looking for a MAN! A good guy with a good heart, and something in between. Maybe its just a high school trend that will end soon!

So lets address the topic of honesty when it comes to relationships. Now I'm not just talking about a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship, but that pre-relationship/ "talking" phase you go through before you hit that point. You "talking" to someone is getting to know that person and vice versa, so why would you put up a front and not be yourself? What is there to lose? Now a days its all about who plays the game the best, and its kind of sickening to think about. Not only is it hard for most teenagers to be honest with someone, but to be honest with themselves. You not being honest with yourself just equals someone getting hurt and allot of wasted time. If you have chemistry with someone, you know it from the beginning, so go with your gut and try things out. Why are teenagers so scared to do this? Life is about losing some and gaining some, and how are you suppose to know what you want in a relationship if your to scared to try one out? So lets get "real" and just be you from the beginning. Don't worry about looking lame for texting the person you like first and adding that extra smiley face because your scared you look desperate. Just be honest with yourself and don't be scared! It all pays off at the end.

You either make it or break it in high school, and it all depends on you. If you have a negative view towards high school, your friends, society, and everything else, JUST STOP IT! High school is life. You have the people who want to be you, the people who want to make you feel like you don't exist, stress, relationships, sex, drugs, and enemies. So dont go around crying everyday becuase you hate life, if you hate life realize what is making you hate it and get rid of it. Now, I know people have hard lives behind closed doors, and it makes it hard, but think of school as a place you can get away. Personally, I enjoy high school, but at the same time I dont involve myself in drama and nonsense to make high school a place I hate. I have my friends who I love, and my enemies who I dont even think about. High school is hard, hell even somedays I just want to break down, but I dont, and it makes a diffrence. Millions of people have been through it so I know I will survive, and the day of graduation I will pat myself on the back. But until then I'm just going day by day.

Being a teen and in school feels more stressful then anything else! Between studying, sports, activities, family and friends, its hard to even find time for yourself. Now, is what sets the mood for the rest of our life. High school=college=job=life=EVERYTHING! We are told to do so much to get to all these places in life, it feels us up with so much anxiety, and it makes things scary. Along with all of that, we have to keep up with school, and not even just that, we have to keep up with everyone at school. From Facebook to Twitter you always need to keep in contact, no what the gossip is, and dress the best. Its exhausting! But like everyone else who has gotten through this crazy time in our life, we will SURVIVE!
